New Scholarship Opportunities for High School Students

1. The New York Post's Scholars Contest

High school students from the New York area are invited to submit their best unpublished work for a chance to be published in the New York Post and on nypost.com. Winners will attend a Scholars Masterclass at the New York Post's NYC office and receive college application strategy sessions, grants for their schools, and a Discovery Day with journalists. The submission window is open until February 28, 2025.

2. Excelsior Scholarship Program

New York State students from families earning $125,000 or less per year can attend a state-operated SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free through the Excelsior Scholarship. The program covers tuition expenses and requires students to be enrolled in full-time study, complete at least 30 credits per year, and meet residency requirements after graduation.
