“Early College Admissions by the Numbers”

The submission of early applications, both early action and early decision, are on the rise, particularly at the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities. In an effort to complete the application process, and in some cases increase the odds of being admitted, applicants are submitting their applications at a rate that is higher than ever before. Submitting applications in the fall is “the new normal” for college admissions, and admissions offices are struggling to anticipate how early applicant pools will compare with regular decision applicant pools.
